Interesting Perspectives {Clickin Moms Creativity Blog Circle}

This month's Clickin Moms creativity challenge is "Interesting Perspectives".  You will definitely want to make it through the circle this time - there are some seriously creative pictures for this month's challenge!!

I really liked the challenge this month.  It reminded me to vary my perspective when taking pictures - and to be careful not to always take the predictable straight forward shot.  Here are some of my favorites from sessions I did this month.

"Shooting from behind the tree" - I had such a great time with this couple.  I really liked this picture because I felt like I was able to peek around and capture a secret moment that was meant to be just between the two of them.

"Shooting from below"

"Shooting from a slight angle"

"Shooting from above" - The three Musketeers!  :-)

"Getting behind the action" - Because there is nothing like a good car crash.  ;-)

"Shooting from behind his bed"

"Shooting from above" - Isn't she such a beautiful Mommy!

"Just the feet..."  :-)

Like I said you definitely won't want to miss any of the circle this month.  Check out my friend's Juanita's blog next.

And in case you missed any of the previous challenges, you can find them here:

Maternity | Kelly {McKinney and Frisco Area Maternity Photographer}

Over Spring Break I had the chance to do a quick maternity session with my friend Kelly.  We met up at the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano and got our first glimpses of Spring - it was so nice!

Can you believe she is just weeks away from having her newest little man?  She was 36 weeks pregnant when we met up for this shoot.  I have heard most women are miserable by the time they hit 36 weeks - but Kelly looked so relaxed and beautiful and seemed to feel wonderful too.  (I didn't quite make it to 36 weeks with my twins so I can't speak from experience here.)  ;-)

It was so sweet seeing her and cute little miss enjoying their last couple of weeks before little man arrives.

Miss C was so full of sweetness!!  I loved it!
And check out our first glimpses of spring.  It made such a beautiful backdrop for our two beautiful ladies.
Look at those teeny, tiny shoes!!  :-)
Isn't she such a beautiful mommy!
♥ ♥
I know they are all so excited to meet little man soon.  Thank you so much Kelly for letting me do this shoot with you guys!  I can't wait to meet him and hope everything goes as smoothly as possible as you welcome your newest blessing.

Couples | Kathi and Alan {McKinney TX Couple and Engagement Photographer}

A couple of weekends ago I got to take pictures with Kathi and Alan.  I have to tell you I had so much fun with this shoot!  Kathi and I had graduated from the same high school so I was excited for the chance to see her again.  I also got a chance to meet her boyfriend Alan - super nice guy.  Don't they look so cute together?

One of the things that I absolutely loved about this session was the sweet looks they gave each other and the secret little stories they told each other in between pictures.  I feel like I can look at them and just tell they are happy and in love.  They just make me smile.  :-)

Kathi and Alan - thank you so much for giving me the chance to take pictures for you guys!!  I hope I get the chance to see you guys again soon!

I Hope I Never Forget... {Letters to Our Children}

To my two beautiful babies:

There are so many things I hope I never forget.  I love being your mommy.  And I am so happy I have had the chance to stay at home with you and watch you grow.  I wouldn't want to miss these moments for anything in the world.  This time is definitely a huge blessing in my life.

I have been thinking for a while now I want to record the cute things you say and the every day moments - so I'm going to attempt some of that now.  And of course not every day is always rosey - we have had our share of sleepless nights, sickness, fussy fits, and potty training but then there are those moments all I can do is sit and think "Wow, I'm so glad all of this is happening to me".  :-)

Some of your favorite things:

You guys are learning so much and your imaginations have just blossomed over the last year.  You love to pretend.  You love playing in the water.  And you love anything that gets you outside.  But with it being so cold outside lately we have been stuck inside a lot.  So this month I decided I wanted to try and capture you guys playing with some of your favorite inside toys.
Since you were a real little guy, you have loved Buzz and Woody.  There was a time when you and Buzz were almost inseparable.  Spider-man and all things super hero have started overshadowing Buzz lately...but he still has a place in your heart.  :-)

You also have a new found love for your race cars.  You are starting to love to race them and crash them.  I see many more race tracks in your future.

My little girl - you have really started having a big imagination.  You love playing with your animals and having tea parties (and of course all things princess).  I set up this tea party for you and your care-bears one morning and after you played for quite a while, you came and gave me the biggest hug and told me you loved me.  Talk about making my heart smile.

Some of my favorite things you say:

Here are some of my favorite things you guys have told us lately.  Hehe...I can't help myself, you guys make me smile.  :-)
  • Little Man
    • "I don't know about that Momma."
    • "Where's my steak?"  (When we sat down for a Mexican food dinner at Grannie's.)
    • "I want to go on vacation."  (Which we finally learned meant you want to go swimming.)
    • "We're twins."  (To Grandma and Grannie.  He just wanted them to know.)  :-)
  • Baby Girl
    • "The BEST EVER!"
    • "My do!  My do!"  (when asked if you want to do something)
    • "I want you to tuck my in."  (every night at bed time)
    • "The End" (at the end of bedtime prayers)
Of course, there are so many more things I want to remember and I know we have so many wonderful memories yet to come.  But one of the things I hope you guys always remember is how much your Mommy and Daddy love you!  You guys definitely have our hearts!

I love you guys so much!!

Mommy

Some of my friends in my moms group and I have decided to create a blog circle where we will share monthly letters to our children.  In a world where we all get so busy with life, for me it is an opportunity to slow down and hopefully record some of our moments together for them.  Please check out my friend Liesl's beautiful letter to her son here and then follow our circle around until you get back to me.

Introducing my Newborn Milestone Program {Frisco and McKinney Newborn Photography}

As of March 1st, I have been in business one whole year.  I can't believe how fast it has flown!!  It has been so much fun for me and such a great experience.  I love meeting new people and trying to capture their true personalities.  I have truly been blessed through the whole experience.  I want to thank you guys for being so supportive of me in my first year of business.

And since Carrie Saindon Photography is turning one, I thought it would be a great time to roll out my new birth to one year milestone program.  Here is what you can expect:

  • The Newborn Session:  This will be such a sweet session. We will capture all the cuteness of your new little baby. We will concentrate on getting those adorable sleepy baby shots along with those sweet family shots of you and your little one. This session will take place in the comfort of your home (unless we determine another location would work better). This session will last 2-3 hours and should take place before your baby turns two weeks old. We will take our time to capture every little detail of you new little cutie. After your session is over you will receive a cd of 20-25 high resolution images within 2-3 weeks.

  • The 6 Month Session:  This session will capture those sweet little smiles your little one has been giving you lately along with some of the fun things your baby is learning to do. While we will concentrate mainly on your 6 month old in this session, we can also get some sweet family shots as well. We will work together to find the perfect location for this shoot. It will last a minimum of one hour and within 2-3 weeks of your session, you will receive a cd of 20-25 high resolution images.

  • The 1 Year Session:  This is a huge and exciting milestone for your little one. He/she has learned and grown so much. We will capture so much cuteness in this session. (We can even include an optional smash cake session if you like.) This session will be a minimum of 1 hour with 20-25 high resolution images on a cd. We will work together to find the perfect location and time for your session. Within 2-3 weeks of your session, you will receive your cd of images.

And as a special birthday present from me to you, for a limited time if you book a milestone package and put 20% down, I will throw in a one hour deluxe maternity session for $75 as well.  (A $125 value)
  • The Deluxe Maternity Session:  Pregnancy looks so beautiful on soon to be Mommies. They have an absolute glow about them. In this session, we will capture the love you have for your baby before he/she even enters the world. This maternity session will be a minimum of 1 hour with 20-25 high resolution images on a cd. It should take place when you are 30-32 weeks pregnant. We will work together to find the perfect location and time for your session.
