Lens Baby Project 52 Challenge for May

This has been a fun photography month for me.  I got to shoot some smash cake sessions which I really enjoyed!!  And I also felt like I had the chance to stretch my creativity some with some fun photo challenges.   Here are the challenge pictures for this month.



{Week 17:  "Food Photography"}
This was fun for me because it is something I don't think to do very often.  I enjoyed having the chance to switch gears and try a new type of photography.



{Week 18:  "Leading Lines"}
This bunny had been hanging out with us for a couple of weeks.  He was so gentle with the kids.  We assumed he must have been some one's pet.



{Week 19:  "Favorite Pictures"}
This was supposed to be "Mom" week but I missed it this week so I decided to add my favorite pictures from this week instead.  I LOVED doing these smash cakes sessions with these little guys.  They were all just so stinkin' cute!!  :-)

{Week 20:  "A day in the life"}
I have seen similar pictures done by different photographers so I couldn't wait to try to take a picture of our weekly grocery store outing.  We had just left the doctor so they were great sports about taking a quick picture for Momma.  :-)



{Week 21:  "Freedom"}
We stopped in front of our neighborhood after a fun night out celebrating our 5th anniversary to take this picture.  So I guess it was a picture to represent freedom after a night of freedom from responsibility.  :-)

Smash Cake & 1st Birthday Session Special {Frisco, Gunter, McKinney Children's Photographer}

First Birthday and Smash Cake Fun - {McKinney, TX Area Children's Photographer}

I had the chance to shoot some really fun smash cake sessions last week.  Three of the little cuties in my LensBaby mom's group were about to or had just had their first birthdays.  And it was so fun to capture their sweet one year milestone.  I love that I get the chance to watch these guys grow up!  And I love that my kids have such sweet little friends.  Here are some of my favorites from each of their shoots.

She is about to turn one and is absolute cutie!!  She knew exactly what to do with the cake too.  She absolutely loved it!  :-)

Adorable Miss C

Miss C is just way too cute!  She didn't know what to think about that cake though - it was just way too messy for her.  :-)  She still seemed to enjoy herself though.

Handsome Mr. H

Mr. H just turned one too.  And I loved how he ate the cake!!  He dug right in.  :-)

Hey Girl! {An I Heart Faces Challenge}

In honor of Mother's Day, I Heart Faces is hosting a challenge celebrating the ladies and girls in our lives.  And I have to say I love this little girl with everything in me!  She adds so much joy and happiness to my life!  I love the idea of celebrating her through this challenge.

Mommy and Me Sessions 2012 - {McKinney, Frisco and Gunter TX Children's Photography & Mother's Day Portraits}

I love Mommy & Me sessions.  I love the adoration I see on the Mommy's faces for their kids.  I love to see the shared hugs and kisses.  And I love capturing the loving moments between them both.

My LensBaby mom's group recently did a shoot where we took turns doing Mommy & Me sessions for each other.  And I was excited to capture those moments for my friends.  And honestly I was even more excited that they were capturing those moments for me.  I will treasure those pictures forever!

     Session I - Laura and her adorable little boys.  When she nuzzles little guy's ear, he just giggles.  So sweet!!  :-)

     Session II - Ashley and her cute little ones.  I absolutely loved the mommy/son kisses!

     Session III - Bertha and her beautiful little girl.  I can't believe how much little miss has grown.  I had the opportunity to shoot her newborn shots earlier in the year.  And she is absolutely precious!

     Session IV - Andie and her sweet little girl.  I have to say I absolutely love the mommy/daughter giggles.  These are definitely the moments I want captured with my little ones too.

Such beautiful mommies and kiddos!!  It was a lot of fun doing these shoots.  I can't wait to do more!!!  :-)
