Pastel {An I Heart Faces Challenge}

It's been a little while since I've entered an "I Heart Face's" challenge but when I saw the challenge theme was pastel, I couldn't wait to share one from our visit to the tulip farm (Texas Tulips).  We got very lucky this year.  A small tulip farm opened not too far from us and it is so beautiful.  I hope I get to take my kids back to it every year now.

This month's I Heart Face's Challenge is "Smile".  When I saw this theme, I immediately thought of this Mommy and her little girl.  I had asked them to hug each other for me and it led to such a fun, contagious laughing kind of moment.  I just loved it!

Best Face of 2013 {I Heart Faces Challenge}

I Heart Faces is a website I have followed for several years now.  They have always had such great educational information for photographers and fun challenges too.  Here is my entry for the "Best Face of 2013".  Isn't she just a doll?  She had the absolute cutest smiles.  Doesn't she make you want to put all your work away for the day and just find a nice field to relax and play in?

This month's I Heart Faces challenge is "play".  Of course it made me think of these three Musketeers.  He loves Woody and Buzz.  There was even a time when we couldn't go to bed without Buzz.  I love watching them play so much!  :-)

Love {An I Heart Faces Challenge}

This month's "I Heart Faces" challenge is love.  Definitely the perfect challenge with Valentine's Day coming up.  When I saw it, I had the perfect maternity picture of a little boy kissing his mommy's belly bump picked out.  But then we went to the park with my sister and I fell in love with this picture.  I was taking some pictures of my sister for a project I'm working on and my little guy kept running in to give her a hug.  I know I'm biased, but I love, love, love this.  :-)

Best Faces of 2012 {An I Heart Faces Challenge}

The "I Heart Faces" challenge this month is to show off your best face picture of 2012.  It was definitely a challenge to choose just one favorite but look at this beautiful face.  I just loved this little girl's fashion.  I think the pink cowboy hat is just awesome!

This picture is from a Bluebonnet session I did in the Spring last year.  It was with one of the first families who gave me the opportunity to shoot for them once I started my business.  I am so thankful for them!!

All Boy {An I Heart Faces Challenge}

In honor of Father's Day, I Heart Faces is hosting a challenge celebrating the men and boys in our lives.  When I took this picture, I remember thinking, "He's all boy!"  I absolutely loved how he ate his cake.

Happiness - {An I Heart Faces Challenge}

I had so much fun with these little girls - talk about adorable!!  They were constantly doing what their mom and grandma called the 'twin thing' which was so cute.  Basically it seemed like they were constantly in sync - they would turn their heads at the same time, squat at the same time to look at things - it was pretty amazing to see .  I'm glad they were in sync with these smiles too.  So cute!!!

Hugs and Kisses - An I Heart Faces Challenge

I loved this sweet hug between my friend and her little girl at my friend's 10 year wedding renewal.  Little Miss B had had such a great time playing and dancing.  She was absolutely worn out and it was so sweet to see her dance with her Mommy near the end of the reception.   I loved this moment!!

Holiday Bokeh Challenge

My LensBaby moms group has had an online bokeh challenge the last couple of years.  Last year one of my friends had a beautiful picture of her hot chocolate cup in front of the Christmas tree with heart bokehs rising as steam.  I loved that picture so I attempted to recreate it this year.  I love this challenge.  Thanks for the inspiration Liesl!  :-)

Bust a Gut - An I Heart Faces Challenge

The challenge for I Heart Faces made me laugh this week.  The challenge is called "Bust a Gut" - how appropriate for Thanksgiving!!  :-)  But they actually want pictures of people busting a gut laughing.  So I found this one of the kids from this summer that makes me smile every time.  I hope you guys enjoy.  :-)  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

This week's I Heart Faces Challenge theme is "Raise Your Hands".  We were asked to enter a picture with hands that we love.  And I have to say I love these hands.  These are the hands of three of the four best little friends - who play together, who get messy together, and who are sharing their childhood together.  These are the hands of my twins and my friend's twins.  I definitely love these hands!
