7 Month Milestone {Frisco, TX Baby Photography}

I was so excited to take pictures of one of the sweetest little 7 month olds last week.  He was so cute and smiley.  I absolutely loved it.  He had just mastered a new skill - sitting up by himself - and mom was looking to get some sweet pictures of him. 

Seriously is there any way you could possibly resist this little guy?  I love the little hat - just precious.  :-)

And that smile!!!

I really think I could have taken pictures of him all morning.  He just makes me smile!

Sunflowers {Letters to Our Children}

This I think is one of my new favorite pictures of you guys.  You were smiling, looking at me, and giving sweet hugs with just the promise of a Dr. Pepper from Sonic afterwards.  ;-) I love you guys!!

To my amazing kids:

I am loving this journey with you guys.  I love to see you make new friends and learn new things.  I love the cute conversations we have.

Last week we went to lunch and man walked in the door.  {Little Girl} You looked at him and said, "Look Mom, there's a pirate.  Aaaarrrggghhhh Matey!"  {Little Man} You quickly agreed with her, "Yes mom there's a pirate".  Hehe...I couldn't bring myself to turn around and look.  :-)

I love that you guys dream big too.  {Little Man}:  You have been telling us lately that when you grow up you want to be a fireman, go to outer space, and to be a doctor. {Little Girl} So when I asked you what you wanted to be when you grow up.  You  told me, "When I grow up, I want to be a flower."  I love the innocence in your answers.

I love that we can experience new things together.  I love asking you at the end of day what your favorite part of the day was and hearing all the responses you come up with.

You guys are so imaginative right now.  You are amazing!  You guys are even more than what I ever dreamed for.  I love you so much!

iPhone Fun {Clickin Moms Creativity Blog Circle}

This month's Clickin Mom's creativity challenge was to use your camera phone.  I have an iPhone 4 - so I used that to take all of the pictures in this post.

As a professional photographer, I'm always trying to capture those perfect moments - the one you and your family want to remember forever.  I want to walk away from every shoot feeling like my clients will cherish the pictures I give them.  I definitely want to do the best job I possibly can.

Over the last year or so, I have a new found love for taking pictures with my iPhone.  As a mom, sometimes I want to just savor the moments while not always worrying about capturing the perfect picture or lugging around my big camera.  I love it.  I can capture my kids in the everyday moments without the extra pressure I put on myself when I have my big camera out.  My iPhone frees me from the perfection I often strive for with my dSLR.

{Pictures to Practice}

I often use my iPhone just for practice shots - whether it's lighting, locations or whatever.  In the first picture we were on a family trip to Tulsa.  I loved the lighting in the hotel room.  In the second picture, I was in search for a new bridge to use during my photo sessions - so my kids were happy to help me out.  :-)

{Pictures at the Park}

This was just a fun rainy day for us at the park.  I knew I didn't want to take my dSLR but I still wanted to capture them having fun and playing. 

{Pictures on Vacation}

And for those fun, quirky vacation pictures I wanted to share on Instagram, I used my iPhone camera too.  These were taken on our summer trip to Myrtle Beach this year.

Red, White and Blue | The R Kids {Frisco TX Childrens Photographer}

Check out the fun Red, White and Blue shoot I got to do recently with two of my favorite two year olds.  We met up at Frisco Heritage Museum and enjoyed a fun patriotic morning.

We started in the wagon in front of the little log cabin.  Here I learned that the twins liked to give each other sweet kisses.  I love this!!  Best Friends Forever!!

Then we brought out the tricycle.  I think we have a natural on our hands.  Isn't she way too cute!!

Of course, what is a red, white, and blue session without the American Flag and some love? 

We finished up with our patriotic little guy. 

I really enjoyed this session!  It was fun to try to capture some patriotic images.  I hope everyone had a fun 4th of July this year with lots of family, fun and fireworks!!  :-)  If you would like some patriotic pictures like this, please email me today. 

7 Month Milestone | Baby Evie {Frisco TX Baby Photographer}

Check out this absolutely adorable 7 month old I got to spend some time with in  the park last week.  Don't you just want to squeeze her little cheeks?  Talk about cute, cute cute!!

Evie's Mommy is a friend of mine and a very talented photographer.  She was so  sweet to let me take pictures of her little model while our older kids played.  I think I could have sat there all day taking pictures of her.  She was just as sweet and happy as could be.

Our Fun Adventures {Letters to Our Children}

To my wonderful babies:

One of the things I love about being your mom is how I get to see so many new things through your eyes.  I love the excitement you get over the little things that are so new to you.  It's a reminder to me to enjoy the small things - the beautiful flowers, playing in water on a hot day, blowing bubbles, snuggling on the couch.  It reminds me how important it is to laugh and have fun every day and that sometimes it's ok just to be silly. You guys are such a blessing to me in so many ways!!

We have had so many fun adventures.  This is the day we discovered the tunnels.  :-)

Head Shot and Model Shoot | Andrea {McKinney TX Business Photography}

Have I told you about the moms group I belong to?  Shortly after I had my kids, I caught the photography bug big time.  About that time one of my friends started an awesome new moms group (Lens Baby) geared towards moms who love photography.   We take turns creating fun play dates for our kids that allow us to take fun pictures of them.  We also support each other in our businesses - including taking head shots and modeling shots for each other.  I love this group. All of the ladies are so creative, so talented, and so sweet.   

This is my friend Andrea.   We met up in downtown McKinney for a quick modeling shoot.  She was such a natural! Doesn't she look beautiful?
